What if...

What if the Arabs and Palestinians had wanted peace in 1929, 1947, 1948, 1967, 1993, 2000, or 2005? I've just read a fantastic letter to the editor of the New York Times, pointing out that it has been the Palestinians who have consistently rejected peace.
Rather than young Israelis questioning why their parents didn’t turn back in 1967, young Palestinians should be asking why, at every opportunity, their parents have chosen conflict over compromise.

Will Britain one day be Muslim?

Ruth Edwards writes about the future of Islam in Britain in the Daily Mail, and has voiced concerns that many of us have held for a long time.
"Just look at the development within Europe," said a triumphant Norwegian imam a few months ago, "where the number of Muslims is expanding like mosquitoes. Every Western woman in the EU is producing an average of 1.4 children. Every Muslim woman in the same countries is producing 3.5 children. Our way of thinking will prove more powerful than yours."
With numbers like these, it will only be two or three generations before Europe has a Muslim majority. Already one in three children born in Germany has Muslim parents.

The article is well written, and I encourage you to read it. The Europe we knew is disappearing before our eyes, and more voices must be heard before the governments do anything about it!

A Continent of Losers

This is quite possibly the most excellent post I have read all week, I highly recommend everyone reads it. You can find it at Gates of Vienna: A Continent of Losers. Excerpt follows:
While the European populations are shrinking and the best-qualified young people are leaving, we continue to allow mass immigration of unqualified Muslims, who will soon make our welfare states collapse. Add to this the fact that the Muslim world has built up a “youth bulge”, which according to experience will lead to mass murder and whose effects cannot be offset by foreign aid. The originator of these bleak predictions is the German sociologist Gunnar Heinsohn, who believes that the game is over for Europe

A Day In The World Of Islam

I thought I'd check out what sort of things happen in the Muslim community on a day-to-day basis. I was somewhat disturbed by what I discovered.

Palestinians kill a 35-year old woman with a rocket in Sderot, Israel.

A bomb hidden in a box kills a young child in Sanaa, Yemen.

A 63-year old woman is killed in a bomb attack on a Christian neighbourhood in Beirut, Lebanon.
Eleven policemen are killed by the Taleban in Helmand, Afghanistan.

A non-Muslim is arrested for visiting Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Apartheid? You bet.

An Australian woman is abused by a group of Muslim men for the way she was dressed.

Need I say more? I only see violence and hate from the Islamic community.

Is Islam Affiliated With Terrorism?

Over on Jihad Watch I noticed two posts, made only a few hours apart.

The first was a denial by Palestine's permanent envoy to the United Nations and Ambassador to Austria Zohair Al-Wazir that terrorism is linked to Islam.
"The Palestinian delegation to the forum renewed commitment to the resolution of the Arab League foreign ministers' meeting of March on opposition to all forms of terrorism and all attempts to link this global phenomenon to Islam.

"Islam advocates tolerance, moderation and coexistence," he pointed out.

Islam only advocates tolerance, moderation and coexistence towards other Muslims - and even then only sometimes.

The second article I noted was a Kuwaiti Sheikh encouraging Palestinians to commit acts of terrorism. You can find his anti-Semitic comments on his website.

In a statement posted on an al-Qaeda internet forum, al-Ali unleashed a torrent of anti-Semitic statements, saying, "There is no nation on earth, and in the history of humanity, that is more deceitful, and false and fraudulent... than the Jewish nation."

It is quite clear that the Muslims have one "official" line which they feed to the West, but when we listen to the hate their religious leaders preach we understand the truth to be quite different.

Threats Of Violence Over Mosque Dispute

The Turkish religious organisation Millî Görüş has threatened to organise violence protests if Amsterdam refuses to let them build a mosque. It seems the "Religion of Peace" is showing its true colours - as the "Religion of Violence and Intimidation".

Let's for a moment remember how many churches or synagogues there are in the cities of Saudi Arabia. Let's consider the punishment meted out to apostates of Islam.

We should not allow mosques to be built in our countries while Muslim countries refuse to permit us our places of worship. Muslims are privileged to be able to build mosques in Europe, but we should be demanding concessions from their countries in return.

Three Christians Martyred in Malatya, Turkey

Turkish Muslims brutally tortured and murdered three Christians. Their actions have been attributed to "religious feelings".
On April 18, five Muslims entered a Christian publishing company and killed three believers in the southeastern province of Malatya. Two of the victims were Turkish converts from Islam and the third man was a German citizen who had lived in Turkey for 10 years. News reports said four of the attackers admitted that the killings were motivated by both “nationalist and religious feelings.”
The martyrs were tortured for three hours.
"He had many more stab wounds than we could count. That torture had been intended was very apparent. His buttocks, his tecticles, his rectum, and his lower and middle back were chopped with dozens of knife stabs. His fingers were repeatedly sliced to the bone lengthwise. There was a very long and open wound on his neck from ear to ear. His esophagus and trechea had been severed by these cuts. He was taken into surgery at 14:25. Teams from 4 units of the hospital participated in the surgery. 51 units of blood were given. Because the hospitals bood stock was depleted, blood was made up from Kizilay (Red Crescent) . Nevertheless, Ugur lost his life at 17:30."
The wife of one of the dead has expressed her forgiveness of the perpetrators. Her faith must be incredibly strong to take such a step - stronger than mine would be in a similar situation. I pray that in death the Christians of Turkey can inspire belief and faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ, even as they did in life.

May those who were martyred rest in peace, and may God have mercy on the souls of their murderers.

Anti-Jihad Protest in Denmark

Over at Gates of Vienna there is an article about a small protest by the new Anti-Jihad Denmark political alliance. The protest took place in Aalborg, Denmark's fourth largest city. The original article (in Danish) is on the Jyllands-Posten website.

Anders Gravers, of Stop islamiseringen af Danmark, reported back to Baron Bodissey of Gates of Vienna:
The media said twenty, but forty anarchists were arrested at our demonstration. As for our people, some media say there were 150, but we would say around 75. This includes the Anti-Jihad demonstrators and also some other people who stopped and watched.

The anarchists were driving newly rented vans. It makes me wonder who pays for that.

There was no violence against us, just the “normal” kind — that is, attacking the police!

In the video, the girl in the window giving us the finger is an immigrant… I just heard that.

The theme of our rally was “less control of the citizens — more control of the immigrant gangs!”

They called us extreme right wing, and we complained about it. We are not right wing, left wing or “middlewing” — we are for Denmark and for the cause of Denmark.
All in all, it was a great success, and then we had a fantastic party in the evening where I grilled one of our own pigs over a bonfire.

I want to start my comments by saying that I think it is fantastic that this protest took place. I think those who attended were brave, and I wish them the best of luck.

In the future I hope to see more protests in Denmark against Islamification. I hope that more and more people become aware of the growing influence and power of the extremist minority within their country. In fact, that goes for every country in Europe, not just Denmark.

Peaceful, yet visible, protests are important. Not only to pressure politicians, but also to raise awareness among fellow citizens. The larger these events are, the more the politicians will sit up and take note. Muslims are very good at protesting every little perceived injustice and insult - one has only to look at the size and number of protests held throughout Europe over the past couple of years. European natives are, to a certain extent, a little more apathetic and indifferent when it comes to making their voices heard. This is due to our cultural upbringing - we have respect for the rule of law and a strong belief in democracy.

So what is the best way of getting more people to take part in protecting what they believe in? If you're not involved in an anti-jihad group already, then there are still things you can do. Keep up with the latest news through the internet, and consider taking part in protests and demonstrations when they occur. Remember, politicians will consider the number of people at an anti-jihad rally to be directly correlated with the proportion of the population that supports a limitation on the amount of Islamification in our countries. Write to your elected member of government - one or two pages outlining the concerns you have. These people, believe it or not, do sometimes consider the concerns of their constituents!

Maybe you haven't been involved yet - but if you believe in the danger that Islamofascism poses to the freedom of Europe - perhaps it is time to be. Stop the Islamisation of Europe is holding a major demonstration outside the European Parliament on the 11th of September 2007. People will be attending from all over Europe, and the more who turn up, the more people will take note. Without protests like these, our grandchildren will think that every single one of us was complicit in the spread of Islamofascism through our countries. Without protests like these, historians in the future will remember us only for going quietly into the night.

Coptic Christians Attacked In Egypt

Yet again the Coptic Christian minority in Egypt is suffering from violence and persecution at the hands of the Muslim majority. Even though Muslims make up more than 90% of the population of Egypt, they still feel threatened enough to attack Copts. The Copts are already discriminated against in Egyptian law, being forbidden from building or extending churches without a presidential decree.

The Los Angeles Times has an article on the most recent violence. It also follows below, as the website requires registration.

CAIRO — A group of Muslim men, angered by plans to enlarge a Coptic church, battled with Christians after Friday prayers, setting fire to several buildings and injuring at least 11 people, officials and witnesses said.

Attackers roamed through the village of Bamha, about 15 miles south of Cairo, carrying hatchets and fuel canisters, said a witness, Tarek Gabbas.

Muslims and Christians reportedly threw firebombs and bricks at each other, and at least 10 Christian houses and businesses were set ablaze before police restored order. Seventeen people from both faiths were arrested, Reuters news agency reported.

Under Egyptian law, no church can be constructed without a presidential decree. However, mosques are not subject to the same regulation, a fact cited by Egypt's Coptic minority as evidence of discrimination.

Christian Copts, who constitute about 10% of Egypt's 80 million people, also complain that the state discriminates against them by denying them proper representation in the government.

Marcos Aziz, a prominent Coptic cleric, said religious tensions have been mounting in Egypt recently. The attack, he said, was "a result of the regime's inability … to solve the problems of the Copts."

Muslim villagers in Bamha, angered by the plans for expansion of the church amid rumors that the Christians did not have building permits, had been circulating leaflets, calling on residents to "defend the religion of Muhammad" by burning down Christian property in the village, said Gabbas, a Muslim.

He said some Muslims ran into the burning buildings to try to help trapped Christians.

"Not all Muslims there were happy with what was happening. There were Muslims who risked their lives while trying to rescue Copts," Gabbas said.

Five of the 11 wounded were women, said Abdullah Fawzi, director of the ambulance staff.

"It's a recurring problem," said Sameh Fawzi, an expert on Coptic affairs. "Most sectarian conflicts that erupted in the past were due to fights over the construction of churches."

In April 2006, religious violence rocked the Mediterranean city of Alexandria after a knife-wielding assailant attacked three churches, killing a man and wounding at least 12 people. The police investigation concluded that the perpetrator was "mentally disturbed."
Jihad Watch has also reported this article, and there are several intelligent comments on their site questioning why western nations are accepting Muslim immigrants, rather than the persecuted Christians.

This is a valid question. Generally Christian immigrants from the Middle East are far more law-abiding than their Muslim counterparts. Good examples are the Copts from Egypt, and the Maronites from Lebanon. The evidence suggests that Christian immigrants willingly integrate far more easily. When riots broke out between Australians and Lebanese in Sydney, Australia, I spoke to several people who were shocked that the Lebanese were causing so many problems. The confusion was quickly cleared up when we discovered that they were used to responsible Maorinte Christian Lebanese immigrants in their area, as opposed to the Muslim Lebanese who caused the violence in Sydney.

Riots in Malmö

The riots in Malmö, Sweden, seem to be becoming a regular occurrence. Recently arrived Muslims are making the situation unbearable for native Swedes, regularly committing serious violent crimes. But they aren't doing it because they're nasty people, it's more a case of doing it because violence is deeply rooted in their culture and religion. How long will it be until Malmö looks like a Scandinavian version of Beirut, a city divided along religious and cultural lines and riven with violence?

Jihad Watch has an excellent article on the Malmö riots, including links to some background information written by Fjordman.

Further reports about the riots are also available on Jihad Watch are here, and here.

Australian Muslim Leader: "Kill Non-Muslim Children"

It's a little odd that the first post in a blog titled "Freedom in Europe" should be about a report from Sydney, Australia. But what threatens Europe also threatens the entire western world - including North America and Australasia.

Sheik Shady Suleiman, a youth leader at the Lakemba Mosque in Sydney has told his followers that it is not only acceptable, it is "obligatory" for Muslims to kill their enemies' children.

The lecture he was giving at the time was entitled "Rulings on Performing Jihad." Why are men like this permitted to preach hate in our countries?
